About The Company

As a director and employee of Zone Zero Training I am involved in the day to day activities of the company. For many years I have been involved in competence training and assessing in electrical safety within various industries, such as the rail transport sector and more recently the various areas which are classified and hazardous or potentially explosive by either gas or dust materials. These areas require a higher degree of knowledge and understanding to allow persons working in these areas to be safe, in particular when working with electrical equipment. The training I am involved with is known as CompEx. This is a scheme for validating core competency of employees and contract staff of major users in the gas, oil & chemical sectors, both with offshore and onshore activities - designed and developed by industry for industry.

CompEx scheme courses are operated in licenced centres worldwide. These licence centres and based in various locations and are continuously expanding to new locations in the world. You can select the CompEx logo on the home page and go to the CompEx website to find the exact location of all of the centres worldwide. Each centre has an instruction programme based on the information from EEMUA or IEC 60079 Standards. The assessments provided at the centres and both knowledge and practical based on the IEC parts 60079-14 & 17 standards. Zone Zero Training Ltd is involved in the instruction and the assessment of candidates to a core competency level.

Previously Zone Zero Training was involved in other similar bespoke training and assessment programmes for candidates requiring a knowledge and understanding of hazardous areas and the electrical equipment to be fitted, used and inspected in such specialist areas.
